Wirikuta
Just five minutes from downtown San José del Cabo is Puerto Los Cabos and its botanical garden Wirikuta. Leaving aside the beaches of the town, you can enjoy over 1,500 varieties of cacti in the world on foot or on a bicycle.
It is also a place to enjoy the sculptures of Leonora Carrington and Manuel Felguérez, or the three pyramids emulating the Huichol ceremonial center.
Art Walk
On Thursday nights the streets of the historic district in San José del Cabo become a huge art exhibition between November 1 and June 30. It is a great opportunity to stroll at sunset while admiring what the various galleries of the town have to offer.
For more delight there is live music in the streets and some galleries offer wine and hors d’oeuvres.
Cabo Pulmo National Park
Is one of the few reef areas in the eastern Pacific and the only in the Gulf of California and the Sea of Cortez. Cabo Pulmo National Park was declared as protected natural area in 1995. As a transition zone, you will find a great diversity and plenty of species since there converge warm tropical water with cold.
You can take courses in diving or snorkeling. If you prefer to stay above the water, you can go fishing, canoeing, rowing and kayaking.
The Arch
This natural arch is Cabo´s most famous landmark. It´s only accessible by boat so you can either take a sightseeing or whale watching tour or rent a kayak and paddle out here. Right by the arch is a colony of sea lions.
San José Estuary
Close to San Jose del Cabo is this estuary, a protected natural area where there are a lot kinds of flora and fauna.
Within its 50 hectare nature reserve, the vegetation is dense. Because San José river mix with the ocean, rich nutrients originate.
